Two contrasting impacts of geotourism in Jeon ju

Almost of you have seen some posts about trip course of Jeon ju in SNS. Eating food and staying at the village of traditional Korean-style houses there is one of the examples of geotourism.  The possible effects of geotourism in Jeon ju include growth of local economy and harm to its own characteristics.

A positive effect of geotourism in Jeon ju is expansion of tourism market. In fact, there are not only a plenty of traditional but fusion dishes in Jeon ju and a number of tourists enjoy eating them. Moreover, increasing Korean traditional costume, Han bok rental shops offer tourists to interesting experiences of Korean culture.

On the other hand, a negative effect of geotourism in Jeon ju is loss of unique characteristics of it. For example, there are so many fusion dishes to attracts tourists that it tends to lose real Korean traditional tastes. Also, it has changed structures of Korean traditonal villages to make tourists comfortable to pass through.

In conclusion, geotourism of Jeon ju provides tourists with wonderful memories and leads to economical growth to local people. However, local people should try to keep unique traditon and food of their region.

Summary of 'King Tut's Family Secrets' from Unit 2, Lesson B

There were a number of treasures such as artifacts in a tomb of Tutankhamun which was secretly buried and rediscovered in 1922. To solve many secrets about him and his family, further technology was needed.

Through CT scans and DNA researches, researchers came to know why a hole in Tut's skull was caused, when he died and that his leg was broken. In addition, they revealed that Tut had had difficulties walking due to tissue death, and that he had suffered from malaria. These facts made researchers be able to assume that he had been endangered since his birth because of his family.

The researchers analyzed total eleven mummies including Tut. Three of those were his family and seven were unknown which comprised of four females, a male and two fetuses. Through comparison of the results of CT scans and DNA researches, the researchers proved that Tut's family relationship and that his parents were married siblings.

Therefore, Tut inherited vulnerable genetic conditions from his parents who were married siblings. This caused him to be suffered from malaria and tissue death due to injury of leg. As a result, it led him to premature death. Moreover, inspite of incomplete data, it was possible to suppose that Tut's wife had been his half sister and that two mummified fetuses had been their children who had had genetic defects.

After the death of Tut, as the power of a new dynasty from Ramses 1 grew, the new dynasty tried to remove the record of prior dynasty, Tut's royal family. However, the researches based on DNA could keep its history.

Introduction

Hi, everyone. My name is Ui jin, and I'm majoring in English language and literature. This is my first time to enroll the course Kyle teaches. It makes me have both expectation and tension, but I hope I can do well with the course. I usually play the piano or keep a diary in my free time. Someday, I want to publish my diary as a book so that I can give a lot of courage to many people. I like cooking and drawing the picture of my friends as well. When I give my dish or picture to somebody, I feel very happy.

In this semester, I'm planning to go a trip alone for the first time in my life. It seems quite easy to some of you guys, but it's challenging to me. I think it will give me plenty of lessons and  interesting experiences, so I will get over all of  difficulties from it. Last, I hope that I get along with you well during this semester. Thank you. :)
